Rome-Fiumicino International Airport, also known as Leonardo da Vinci Airport, welcomes passengers from over 100 airlines.  Baldassar’s contribution was part of a series of restylings proposed by AEROPORTI DI ROMA S.p.A. that started in 2013; this project covered the four airport terminals which now welcomes over 47 million passengers a year, making it a top-level infrastructure hub.

In 2015 and 2016 – and in its role as an industry leader – Baldassar supplied a total of 2200 square metres of cover grating to the Rome-based airport (Baldassar model, M. 15 x 76, B.B. 30 x 2, Ø 4 mm cross wire, hot-dip galvanised according to the UNI EN ISO 146 standard) for the walkways.  The fact that the stainless steel product was completely Made in Italy, was the deciding factor that made Baldassar the perfect supplier, as AEROPORTI DI ROMA S.p.A. wanted the restyling work to be 100% Italian (Italian labour and Italian materials).
